This NPR graphic breaks down Romney’s “47%”.  Basically, who makes up that 47% that don’t pay income taxes. 

As expected, it’s mostly the poor, the elderly, and students. 

I mean, think about this.  If you are making 10-15K per year (aka are in poverty), just the standard deduction and a few other deductions will get your adjusted gross income to ZERO.  It’s not hard to imagine. 

Romney’s rhetoric is just silly.  It’s the whole POINT of a progressive tax system!  If you taxed those people more, then they’d have even LESS to ..you know…eat and stuff.
